Trip to the UP and at the Park

We headed up the the UP for Angela's wedding on Daniel's first birthday.  We took this picture in the morning before we left.  We sang him "Happy Birthday" and tried to get him to wear his birthday hat but he wanted to hold it instead.

 We traveled up there with Joe and Mary Ellen and their cuties.  We spent the night in Mackinac City and enjoyed a stroll around the town before hitting the pool.

 These hats were a hit.

 Daddy gave Daniel some big smiles with it on.

 Of course the whole weekend qualified as a "special occasion" for these two so here they are having their morning cigarette before we got on the road.

 Daniel waited patiently in the car.

 And John and I got in some cuddle time too!

 This was taken tonight before our walk to the park.  Daniel can never pass up a graham cracker, even if it was dried and crusted right into the carpet.

 It was a gorgeous night outside so Daniel enjoyed swinging for a while, then he crawled around on the grass.

When we got home from the park, I tried to take a video of Daniel climbing up the step ladder (because he can get right to the top!) but the camera proved to be too enticing for him!
